Director, Cost Accounting
Join CFS as a high‑profile Cost Accounting Director and support the CFO and Controller with cost‑related analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
Base Pay Range $150,000 – $175,000 per year (plus benefits)
Responsibilities
Lead the Cost Accounting/Analysis function and act as the subject matter expert.
Assist with close, forecasting, budgeting, and other cost/investment activities.
Provide financial, cost, and KPI analysis to senior leadership for strategic decisions.
Analyze sales and margin trends/forecasts and by customer and product line.
Conduct budgeting, materials, labor, and overhead analysis and inventory valuation analysis.
Support initiatives in cost reductions, margin enhancements, and working capital improvements.
Drive process and controls improvements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business (CPA preferred).
Strong cost accounting/analysis experience.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with Tableau.
Strong business acumen and strategic thinking ability.
Excellent presentation skills and ability to explain financial results to all levels.
Experience with ERP systems.
