The Knowledge Management (KM) Lawyer will manage the creation, organization, and delivery of knowledge assets for the US Company M&A practice. The KM Lawyer will support a broad portfolio of knowledge services, including monitoring legal, market, and regulatory developments, preparing thought‑leadership pieces, creating standard forms and training materials, and collating precedent. The position may be located in New York, Chicago, or Washington, D.C., with flexibility for a hybrid or in‑office schedule. Responsibilities

Draft and maintain standard forms, templates, and other knowledge resources. Identify, collect, and organize precedent and other work product for the practice in the knowledge‑management databases. Monitor current legal, regulatory, and market developments for the practice and inform attorneys and clients through emails, bulletins, training, or other appropriate means. Support the team’s training program and provide substantive training on the knowledge‑management databases and resources. Coordinate and monitor projects under the firm’s KM Initiative, working with attorneys to bring these to fruition and ensuring they meet the practice’s strategic objectives. Participate in external forums with members of the wider KM community and external service providers to stay abreast of industry developments. Protect and maintain highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains. Qualifications

A J.D. or equivalent. At least five (5) years of relevant post‑qualification experience as a practicing lawyer in a leading law firm, focused on M&A. Extensive knowledge of legal documents in M&A. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Meticulous attention to detail. Benefits & Additional Information
