Civil Design Engineer

Responsibilities
Support Project Engineers and Project Managers I/II in preparing defined project design elements and assist the team with assignment execution.
Engage in Residential, Commercial, Mixed-Use, Public, and Private projects, including projects requiring DSA approval.
Provide site development design support, including grading, drainage, utility, erosion control plans, tentative maps, and feasibility exhibits.
Research and coordinate with governing municipalities, agencies, and co-consultants such as architects and landscape architects.
Attend meetings, site visits, and field inspections to coordinate various design aspects with project consultants and contractors.
Participate in project coordination and correspondence with consultants (project architect, geotechnical engineer, structural engineer, arborist, surveyor, or contractor) under guidance of Assistant Project Manager or Project Manager.
Assist the team with preparation of reports and supporting documents.
Compute design calculations, including earthwork quantities, cost estimate, impervious surface areas, and drainage analysis.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited four‑year college or university with major coursework in civil engineering or an Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate with two (2) years of equivalent professional engineering experience.
Enthusiastic use of AutoCAD fluidly and solid knowledge of civil engineering concepts, including hydraulic, geotechnical, and structural aspects.
Strong problem‑solving, communication, multitasking, and listening skills.
Effective teamwork and dedication to ethical codes of practice.
Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate is encouraged.
