Business Partner Finance Controller – 33916
We are seeking a Finance Controller who acts as a proactive business partner, providing financial guidance and insights to support product line leaders and drive strategic and operational performance. This role goes beyond traditional accounting, partnering closely with operations and commercial teams to influence decision‑making, optimize profitability, and support business growth.
Compensation: To $175K.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic finance partner to business leaders by understanding business strategy, goals, and performance drivers.
Own full P&L management for assigned product lines, consolidating commercial and manufacturing forecasts into comprehensive financial statements.
Analyze profitability by product, region, and customer, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and enhance financial processes, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting, to improve accuracy, cycle time, and decision‑making.
Provide timely and meaningful financial insights and recommendations to business and division leadership.
Lead process improvement initiatives and manage budgeting cycles, ensuring alignment with financial and operational goals.
Support strategic initiatives such as capacity planning, business restructuring, and expansion programs.
Participate in cross‑functional teams to develop performance scorecards and support short‑ and long‑term business planning.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline.
5–7 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in FP&A or operations finance.
Experience in manufacturing or production environments.
Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem‑solving skills.
Proven ability to build and maintain effective business partnerships.
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
Experience leading process improvement initiatives and implementing solutions.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence leaders and support decision‑making.
Ability to provide creative financial solutions and constructively challenge assumptions.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or CPA designation.
Strong understanding of business operations, markets, and strategic planning.
Experience with ERP and financial reporting tools (e.g., SAP, Power BI).
Ability to thrive in both matrixed and independent work environments.
Proven capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, evolving business.
Global mindset and sensitivity to diverse perspectives.
