Job Details We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple tax engagements, delivering quality tax services for our clients.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for clients.
Supervise and coach junior staff to develop their professional skills.
Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business.
Review tax returns, extensions, and tax planning calculations.
Prepare federal and state income taxes for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations.
Manage a book of business and/or participate in marketing-related activities.
Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external parties to manage tax audits and inquiries.
Identify and mitigate tax risks and implications of various transactions.
Stay current on new tax laws and legislation to ensure compliance and advisory services are accurate.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in tax, accounting, or business-related field.
Master’s degree in tax or accounting a plus.
CPA license or Enrolled Agent license required.
Professional Experience
5+ years of tax & accounting experience required.
Prior experience managing team members required.
Minimum 2 years supervising and training experience required.
Strong experience with multi-state returns required.
Experience with QuickBooks and tax software (CCH) preferred.
Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
