Structural Engineer – Support
Join the HED team as a Structural Engineer – Support. Your pay will be based on your skills and experience. The base pay range is $36.00/hr - $43.00/hr.

Role & Typical Duties
A Structural BIM Specialist will produce and manage structural drawings and building models using Revit.
Support the Discipline Team Leader in the documentation process.
Work with the in-house A/E team, Project Manager, and Project Architect to deliver Positive Impact for clients, colleagues, and community.
Lead the structural documentation efforts in Revit, including development of plans, sections, and details.
Be the lead modeler on a wide variety of structural projects.
Mentor structural engineers of all levels in Revit skills and in conformance with HED best practices.
Assist in planning the structural discipline’s project efforts, including estimating hours for modeling and documentation efforts.
Clash detection and resolution using Revizto, Revit, and other tools as appropriate.
Interface with other production specialists across disciplines.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of structural BIM modeling and documentation experience.
Experience with Mission Critical projects preferred.
Thorough understanding of structural documentation and construction documents in general.
Advanced Revit and Bluebeam skills.
Knowledge of Revizto preferred.
Understanding of coordination aspects and related requirements of architectural and related design disciplines.
Ability to interpret markups and notes, estimate hours, and mentor others in Revit tools and processes.
Highly organized, with good communication skills.
Very detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible.
Collaborative personality with a problem‑solving mindset.
Physical Requirements
Ability to use office equipment for communication and documentation purposes.
Visual acuity to perform responsibilities.
Location This position is open to individuals located near our offices in Boston, Massachusetts, and Sacramento, California.
