Job Overview
The Department of Emergency Medicine at East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine seeks a board certified/eligible Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology faculty member to provide clinical care at ECU Health Medical Center and multiple satellite locations, and to supervise medical students and emergency medicine residents. Responsibilities
Provide clinical care in the ECU Health Medical Center Emergency Department and at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, Washington NC, and ECU Health Outer Banks Hospital, Nags Head NC. Instruction and supervision of medical students and emergency medicine residents. Participation in a stable Medical Toxicology division with an active consult service and a meaningful research program. Shift work primarily 7–8–9 hour shifts across multiple sites. Engagement in trauma, STEMI, Stroke, and EM subspecialties such as EMS, Ultrasound, and Sports Medicine. Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution; foreign medical graduate must be ECFMG certified. Board certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine and Medical Toxicology. Active faculty privileges at ECU Health Medical Center. Benefits
Fixed‑term (12‑month) or tenure‑track position. Eligibility for the UNC Optional Retirement Program (ORP) and voluntary supplemental plans (401(k), 403(b), 457, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Critical Illness, Flexible Spending Accounts, Cancer and Disability). Not eligible for the NC Teachers’ and State Employees’ Retirement System (TSERS). Application Instructions
