Job Description The Cardiovascular Center at the University of Florida College of Medicine‑Jacksonville seeks a full‑time Electrophysiology at the tenure or non‑tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant Associate or Full Professor. This position reports directly to the Chief of Cardiology and Medical Director of the Cardiovascular Center. Major responsibilities include teaching and patient care. Salary is negotiable with an excellent benefits package.

The Cardiovascular Center is a state‑of‑the‑art facility servicing North Florida and South Georgia. Our rapidly expanding Cardiovascular Program is currently involved in numerous clinical research trials with a focus on education, clinical practice and research.

UF Health in Jacksonville, Florida, is a comprehensive health system that includes multiple academic and clinical centers. Key components include:

UF Health Jacksonville – an academic health center near Downtown Jacksonville with a Level I trauma program

UF Health North – a 92‑bed hospital and outpatient campus in North Jacksonville

UF Health Science Center Jacksonville – three UF colleges (Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy)

UF Jacksonville Physicians – a network of primary and specialty care centers throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia

Responsibilities

Teach in the cardiovascular faculty, including lectures, seminars and clinical teaching for students, residents and fellows

Provide patient care in the electrophysiology laboratory and inpatient cardiac service, performing diagnostic and interventional procedures

Participate in clinical research trials and scholarly activities, including publications and conference presentations

Serve on clinical, academic and quality improvement committees

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in Electrophysiology (BC or BE)

Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology with a high interest and expertise in Electrophysiology

Experience performing complex electrophysiology procedures in a teaching environment

Excellent communication and teaching skills

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced interventional electrophysiology experience (e.g., structural, ablation, tachycardia)

Experience with emerging electrophysiology technologies and research
