Responsibilities
Prepare individual, business, and other types of tax returns for clients in various entities and industries.
Work with the tax team to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed, including tax planning, client interaction, and special tax projects.
Gather relevant tax‑related information from the client so an accurate tax return can be prepared.
Look at tax situations from various angles to ensure the maximum tax benefit is applied.
Develop solutions and communicate those solutions to the engagement team and client.
Prepare accounting‑related reports through a paperless office environment.
Train and mentor lower‑level employees in the tax department.
Attend training seminars, professional development, and networking events.
Who You Are
Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
Have an active CPA license or are working toward obtaining a CPA license; Enrolled Agent (EA) certification also accepted.
Have 2‑4 years of tax experience within public accounting.
Have a well‑rounded knowledge of tax accounting principles and IRS regulations.
Actively stay up‑to‑date on the ever‑changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
Are a self‑starter who enjoys working independently and in a team environment.
Are able to focus on complex tasks and quickly understand the firm’s comprehensive compliance processes.
