TSC’s Product Solutions (PS) division is seeking a DevOps Engineer II in Huntsville, AL to join our employee‑owned team. In this role, the candidate will take full ownership of the CI/CD pipeline in support of new radar and electronic warfare technology.
Responsibilities
Build Quality Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks for core software components, including unit, integration, and system‑level tests.
Architect CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Artifactory to ensure seamless build, test, and deployment processes.
Champion software excellence: Monitor and improve software quality by implementing code reviews, static analysis, and rigorous test coverage metrics.
Collaborate with Developers: Work closely with a team of 7‑10 engineers to identify, debug, and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle.
Optimize Linux Environments: Oversee build and deployment processes for Linux‑based systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
Document Processes: Create and maintain clear documentation for testing and deployment workflows to support team growth and knowledge sharing.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience: 5+ years of professional experience developing high‑performance embedded software.
Automation & Scripting Pro: Proficient with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and strong scripting skills (Bash, Python).
Testing Guru: Hands‑on experience with automated testing frameworks.
Linux Experience: Familiar with Linux‑based development and deployment environments.
Tool Savvy: Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and version control systems (Git).
Problem Solver: Excellent problem‑solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
Team Player: Comfortable supporting a fast‑paced engineering team of 7‑10 members.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with testing FPGA‑related software or embedded systems.
Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, ELK Stack).
