Associate Attorney - Family Law (Hybrid)
Meagher & Geer, PLLP has an opportunity for a motivated and experienced Family Law Associate Attorney to join our growing practice in Minneapolis.
Responsibilities
Assist the high-level Family Law Partner in representing clients in family law cases such as divorce, custody, child support, post-decree issues, spousal maintenance, domestic abuse, and related matters.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, judgments, decrees, and mediation packages.
Assist clients in court proceedings and mediations.
Help prepare marital estate balance sheets. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is mandatory.
Conduct legal research and draft research memos.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff.
Maintain regular client communication and case updates, including e‑mail correspondence.
Assist with client intakes and calendar management.
Demonstrate motivation to handle a high‑level case load in a fast‑paced practice.
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school and admission to the Minnesota bar.
3+ years of experience practicing family law.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Proven proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
