Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers)
Join to apply for the Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers) role at Jacobs. This position focuses on low‑voltage and communication system design for building projects, including security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low‑voltage systems.
Base pay range:
$85,000.00/yr – $111,525.00/yr
Responsibilities
Prepare engineering drawings and specifications for low‑voltage systems.
Conduct site visits and review technical documents.
Coordinate with other disciplines and clients to integrate owner‑specific installation requirements.
Mentor junior team members and collaborate with senior leaders on concurrent projects.
Qualifications
Technical or Associate’s Degree from an accredited institution.
4+ years of experience actively designing low‑voltage and communication systems for buildings.
Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards.
Experience with Revit software.
Self‑motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary.
Credentials as an RCDD or working toward this title (ideal).
Electrical Engineering degree or related discipline (ideal).
