Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Systems Control Manager, you will provide supervision and leadership to a team of employees. The successful candidate will have production engineer responsibilities for our automated storage and retrieval systems (ASRS-mini load and unit load systems) by maintaining and optimizing the systems in order to meet deadlines and support operations. You will be responsible for the overall function of the department including short term and long term goals that pertain to quality, productivity and time management. Responsibilities
Providing supervision and leadership to team members
Coordinating employees, including scheduling, hiring and exiting
Ensuring short term and long term goals are met
Training and developing employees
Communicating with employees and branches
Monitoring the efficiency and function of the automated systems and ASRS
Maintaining the flow of product from the ASRS to departments downstream
Analyzing system and statistical patterns and recognizing ways for optimization
Supporting picking operations throughout the distribution center
Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area
Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations
Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives
Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings
Qualifications
Possess at least 1 year of prior leadership or management work experience in warehouse, distribution, operations or industrial sales
Proficient written and oral communication skills
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
Possess working knowledge of Fastenal warehouse systems
Highly motivated and self directed with the ability to motivate others
Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
Work independently as well as in a team environment
Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)
