Overview
Pay Range: $78.25hr - $81.25hr The Security Engineer / IAM Specialist is responsible for implementing, managing, and securing enterprise identity and access management solutions, automating security and IT processes, and deploying countermeasures to protect enterprise data and infrastructure. The role involves planning, designing, and implementing security solutions aligned with business goals and risk tolerance, while ensuring consistent application of protective measures across all systems and applications. Requirements
Identity and access management, including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, Active Directory, and application access configuration. Automation development and implementation of security and enterprise IT tools. Plan, design, develop, and implement enterprise security solutions aligned with business goals and risk tolerance. Design, deploy, and manage countermeasures to known security threats and develop mitigation strategies for emerging threats. Ensure consistent application of protective measures across enterprise business applications and infrastructure. Take appropriate actions to protect state data and technology services. Experience
5+ years of experience with identity and access control, logging, and reporting systems. 5+ years of experience in automation development using tools such as Python and Bash. 5+ years of experience with Linux, Windows, and network security protocols and procedures. 5+ years of experience supporting large IT environments and/or system deployments. Strong awareness and understanding of cybersecurity principles. Responsibilities
Implement, manage, and maintain enterprise identity and access management solutions. Develop automation to improve security and IT operations. Deploy and monitor countermeasures against known and emerging security threats. Ensure the application of consistent security measures across applications and infrastructure. Collaborate with business and IT teams to secure enterprise systems and data. Prefer candidates who can work onsite, followed by hybrid, then fully remote as needed. Skills
Expert understanding of identity and access control systems. Automation development using Python, Bash, or similar tools. Experience with Linux, Windows, and network security protocols. Cybersecurity awareness and risk mitigation. SIEM analysis and reporting (preferred). Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, CSF, CJIS, IRS 1075, CMS MARS-E (preferred). Application security (AppSec) knowledge (preferred). Qualification And Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or a related field. Eight years of relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of education. Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISA, CISO, CEH, OSCP, GPEN, or vendor certifications in SIEM/logging technologies.
