The Senior HR Business Partner works with the leadership team to support the execution of human capital strategies that deliver on current and future business priorities. This site senior management role acts as a consultant within the business and a coach to the management team; anticipating and analyzing problems to develop solutions that drive business performance and employee engagement. This position is responsible for a variety of Human Resources programs and services that drive measurable value to the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as an active member of the Site Leadership Team as a driver of culture, change, and engagement.

Helps define and cascade strategic business and site objectives to all levels of the organization.

Act as a business partner broadly defining HR to determine areas where people and teams can be developed or leveraged to provide a competitive advantage.

Interprets, communicates, and ensures consistent adherence to employment law, human resources policies, practices, and information to all levels of the local organization.

Facilitates engagement by ensuring that employees’ voice is heard via engagement surveys, exit surveys, pulse surveys, focus groups, one-to-ones, etc.

Develops site engagement plans and helps drive actions at all levels from group-wide initiatives to site initiatives to grassroots initiatives.

Partners with site leadership to establish a clear people plan to ensure we are future-ready to include resourcing plans, development plans, and mitigation plans for key risk areas.

Responsible for the process, accuracy, and validity of the HRIS and the payroll process for the site including time and attendance management and leave management.

Establishes effective relationships with managers and employees to drive business performance, resolve problems, and create a line of sight between individual objectives and Company strategy.

Champions manages and delivers the training initiatives for the site, including front-line leadership training, coaching, team building, workplace respect, health and safety, food safety, and new hires orientations.

Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, and local requirements including maintaining all required documentation.

Conducts internal investigations, interventions, and risk assessments as necessary to ensure people and processes are compliant and consistent with Bakkavor values.

Assists in communicating the Health and Benefits Programs, including medical, dental, life, disability plans 401(k), and Flexible Spending Plans.

Maintains professionalism under highly stressful conditions and collaborates with employees in all functions and levels to accomplish tasks.

Uses data and analytics to identify areas of opportunity and risks and actively develops specifically targeted programs, initiatives, or interventions.

Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY This position manages 2-3 direct reports. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Organizational Development, Business or related degree (or equivalent education and experience)

EXPERIENCE

Five years’ HR high-level generalist experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent communication, both verbal and written with extraordinary business acumen.

Proven ability to manage multiple areas including HRIS, payroll, time and attendance, health and benefits, talent and training, and employee relations.

Experience working in manufacturing or CPG industries

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Has the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

Has the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and production employees.
