Overview
Michelin Starred Celebrity Chef Michael Mina is seeking an experienced, travel-focused General Manager for Mina Group’s growing restaurant empire. Mina Group is an industry-leading hospitality group led by James Beard Award-winning chef Michael Mina. We manage more than 40 concepts across the US, partnering with industry leaders including Four Seasons, MGM hotels, JW Marriott, and Regent Hotels. Position Summary
Responsible for assisting with management coverage at all restaurants where there is a shortage of management or during management transitions. Coordinates, supervises, trains, and assists in all operational areas during new restaurant openings and at existing Mina Group restaurants.
Relocation

You will lead all front-of-house operations, providing insight and guidance to every team member, working closely with the assistant general manager and corporate operations teams to further the restaurant’s success. You have exceptional financial acumen, expertise in service, impeccable attention to detail, a high level of professionalism, and you can execute the standards of a 2-star Michelin establishment. You have a proven track record of driving revenue, increasing team engagement and retention, and developing and implementing systems.

Advanced knowledge of Food and Wine; Level 1 Somm certification is a plus
Desire to teach and mentor staff and interns
Basic Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in a fine dining high-volume restaurant, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
Hospitality degree preferred
Knowledge of safety and hygiene protocols
Working knowledge of HR practices and labor laws
Ability to frequently lift up to 40 pounds
Stamina to work more than 40 hours per week
Travel
There will be extensive travel required to perform the essential job functions. Travel requirements will be at Mina Group’s discretion. This includes travel to certain restaurants for extended periods of time to assist with manager coverage during transitions and during restaurant openings.
Timeframe and Initiative
The Restaurant Excellence Team (REX) provides leadership candidates the opportunity to be fully trained in Mina Group standard operating procedures, systems, and concepts through assignments at multiple locations with the goal of taking a leadership position at a Mina Group restaurant in a full-time capacity. Depending on development and vacancies, leaders are expected to assume a full-time position at one of our outlets within 12–18 months from hire date.
Salary
Salary for this role is $90,000–$100,000 moving to $110,000–$130,000 after relocating to a portfolio property.
