Rotating between our 5 locations: Paramus, Fairlawn, Bloomfield, Rochelle Park 1st and 5th. Schedules rotate on a quarterly basis.

1st Shift: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
2nd Shift: 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
3rd Shift: 1:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Job Summary
As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will work underneath the office manager and with a team to provide administrative and clerical support to management, departments, staff, and clients. In this entry-level role, you will have the benefit of working face-to-face with our clients and linking them to services to help them in their journey. Additionally, you will gain operational knowledge of a Non-profit and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic in your work with our various departments, prescribers, mental health and substance use providers.
What You Will Do
Serve as greeter for walk-ins or scheduled face-to-face or telehealth appointments
Verify, review, and update demographic and insurance information in the agency electronic health record
General knowledge of all insurance benefits and coverage, as well as Patient Verification Systems - Evolv NX, MyAbility, Navinet, NJMMIS is a plus.
Verify insurance benefits and eligibility.
Upload benefits in the agency Electronic Health Record
Collect payment at the time of service and/or collect past balances from the client, virtually or in-person.
Answer the telephone and provide routine information. Assist clients (over the phone and in-person) by communicating in a positive, friendly and professional manner.
Schedule appointments, conduct appointment confirmations/reminders.
Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
What We Are Looking For
High School diploma (HSD) or General Education Degree (GED)
6 months to two years receptionist experience in the medical or mental health field
Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) preferred
Medical insurance verification experience required
Valid Driver's license required and must be insurable by agency's automobile insurance.
