Join Loretto Health and Rehabilitation as a Part Time Employee Health Nurse, RN!
The Employee Health Nurse performs and documents pre-employment health assessments, including physical assessments, pre-employment drug screenings, routine blood draws, immunization reviews, and other related duties.
Shift:
Part Time Days – No Weekends Required
Pay:
$38.51 - $43.25 per hour
Responsibilities
Performs and documents new employee pre-employment health assessments.
Performs routine blood draws for Rubella and Rubeola titers as needed.
Reviews immunization records for candidates. Provides immunizations as needed.
Administers tuberculosis tests and performs all follow-up readings.
Performs N95 mask fit testing.
Performs drug screening.
Completes all documentation thoroughly and promptly. Records test results and initiates action as required.
Communicates any issues appropriately, including negative outcomes and lack of response by employees.
Adheres to all policies, procedures, and DOH/third-party agency regulations.
Actively participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current NYS license and registration in good standing as a Registered Nurse.
2-3 years' experience in an acute care setting.
Knowledge of bloodborne pathogens and infection control techniques.
Strong patient assessment skills.
Current knowledge of nursing best practices.
Knowledge of DOH regulations.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with managers, employees, and providers, in person, on the phone, and in writing, using a clear, straightforward, and professional manner.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.
