Their technology enables coordinated robot swarms to perform complex, high‑impact missions using low‑cost hardware and advanced AI‑driven autonomy. The team brings deep expertise from leading robotics, aerospace, and AI organizations, and is building the infrastructure for the next generation of intelligent robotic systems at scale. What You Will Do
As an Android Developer, you’ll build mission‑critical command‑and‑control interfaces for ground‑based robotic swarms. You’ll develop plugins for ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit) – the tactical situational awareness platform used by defense, emergency, and security operators. You’ll be responsible for building reliable, real‑time interfaces that visualize and manage swarm operations, integrating live video, mapping, and data streams in fast‑changing environments. Key responsibilities include: Develop and maintain Android plugins for ATAK to support command and control of robot swarms. Architect and implement real‑time, mission‑critical interfaces for field operations. Work closely with robotics, autonomy, and product teams to integrate backend systems and telemetry data. Implement complex UI systems using
Jetpack Compose
and legacy View components. Optimize Android performance for video, mapping, and sensor data visualization. Maintain scalable Android build configurations using
Gradle . Contribute to end‑to‑end testing, field deployment, and performance validation of mobile systems. Ideal Background
2+ years of Android development experience with a focus on
real‑time or interactive applications . Strong command of
Kotlin , including coroutines, flows, and async programming. Deep understanding of
modern Android architecture patterns
and best practices. Experience with
dependency injection frameworks
(Dagger). Skilled in managing
real‑time data and streaming systems
within Android environments. Experience with
video streaming, compression, and rendering
in Android. Familiarity with cross‑functional collaboration and agile development practices. Must be able to
obtain and hold a U.S. security clearance . Willingness to
relocate to Phoenix, AZ . Preferred Qualifications
Hands‑on experience developing plugins for
