Security Officer - Unarmed Retail Site
–
Part Time , Pay $21.25 / Hour, Honolulu, HI, Allied Universal®.
Schedule Tuesday: 05:30 AM – 01:30 PM | Wednesday: 05:30 AM – 01:30 PM.
What You’ll Do
Claim and secure open shifts through the proprietary scheduling platform.
Support operations across commercial real estate, healthcare, and educational environments.
Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams.
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service.
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise.
Responsibilities
Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, adhering to site‑specific policies, and responding to emergencies when necessary.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and promote a secure environment.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Work closely with property management and local authorities as needed to address incidents and/or emergencies.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of observations, incidents, and/or activities during each shift.
Offer directions and general assistance to visitors and tenants while maintaining a professional presence.
Follow all Allied Universal protocols and client‑specific instructions to support the overall security‑related objectives of the location.
What We’re Looking For
Availability across various days and shifts.
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company.
Interest in transitioning into full‑time roles when available.
Minimum Requirements
State, county, or city‑issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
