in Glen Allen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential and more. As a Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a residential location, you will conduct regular patrols throughout the property, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence to support the community. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for patrolling designated areas by vehicle while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise Responsibilities

Provide customer service to residents and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner while maintaining professionalism at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access points and observe for any unusual activity, reporting findings according to established procedures. Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal protocols. Communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and property management to address questions and provide assistance as needed. Support a welcoming environment while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location. What We’re Looking For

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. At least one year of security‑related experience is required. Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
