DPR Construction is seeking a safety manager, to be based in our Charlotte office. This individual will implement DPR’s environmental health and safety plan (EHSP) and related programs at assigned construction project(s)/business units. The safety manager will work with our project management team and subcontractors to recognize and address potential hazards before they exist and will ensure compliance with our EHSP utilizing behavior-based safety techniques. Responsibilities will include: Leading and fostering DPR’s injury-free environment culture. Developing and mentoring safety coordinator(s). Leading pre-qualification processes for subcontractors. Coaching management on safety leadership and practices. Providing safety data analysis regularly. Developing safety programs and protocols. Creating site-specific safety plans integrating DPR’s and clients’ safe work practices. Innovating hazard mitigation methods. Conducting site safety audits and sharing findings with project management. Utilizing all available resources, including escalation, to maintain a safe environment. Monitoring subcontractor safety adherence. Measuring team engagement on safety practices. Maintaining safety documentation, including training records, incident reports, and safety metrics. Qualifications

We seek a flexible, detail-oriented team player capable of managing multiple tasks, producing quality work, and meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will have: At least 5 years of construction site experience. OSHA 500 training certification. Certifications such as competent person, train-the-trainer, or other relevant activity-specific certifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Strong oral and written communication skills. A degree in safety management or CHST certification is a plus. Experience in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or OSHPD projects is a plus.
