The Role We are seeking a Payroll & HR Benefits Coordinator who will play a dual role at the heart of our team. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing while also managing employee benefits administration, compliance, and HR support functions. You’ll partner closely with leadership and employees alike—helping create a workplace where people feel supported and processes run smoothly.

Location This role will primarily office out of our centralized business office in Plano, with occasional on-site work at our dealerships.
Responsibilities
Process semimonthly payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
Manage benefits administration including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and ancillary benefits.
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefits questions and payroll inquiries.
Maintain HRIS and payroll system data integrity.
Administer new hire onboarding and ensure accurate benefit enrollment.
Support annual open enrollment, coordinating with benefit providers and employees.
Reconcile payroll and benefits accounts, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and confidentiality standards.
Assist with employee relations, policy updates, and HR initiatives to strengthen culture and retention.
Partner with department managers to ensure correct timekeeping and approvals.
Requirements and Qualifications
2+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience required.
Working knowledge of payroll software and HRIS systems (experience with Paychex and Tekion is a plus).
Solid understanding of federal and state wage/hour laws, benefits regulations, and ACA compliance.
Strong Excel and data reconciliation skills.
Automotive dealership or multientity payroll experience is a plus.
