Description Summary:

The Business Deposit Portfolio Manager leads strategic initiatives to drive new business household acquisition and deposit balance growth within Minnesota, Illinois, and Wisconsin. This role partners closely with Regional Presidents, Sales Leaders, and cross‑functional teams to develop and execute market‑specific deposit strategies to grow the deposit portfolio. The Business Deposit Portfolio Manager will keep the market informed of risks and opportunities related to their production goals through market‑level performance analysis and forecasting. This role will also be responsible for the execution of key initiatives to drive growth and continuous improvement and will be the point person within the Business Deposits team to partner with these markets. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in business banking, deposit product positioning, and sales enablement, with a passion for driving results.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with Business Banking Sales Leaders to define and execute strategies and tactics specific to initiatives to enhance sales, improve deepening, and improve client retention in the Regional Bank coordinating across cross‑functional teams and obtaining alignment

Serve as a subject matter expert on business deposit products and localized, competitive positioning, with a focus on business client needs and behaviors

Partner with the Deposit Product team to position the full suite of deposit offerings in the best way for business bankers to capture the full deposit relationship and partner with Treasury Management to align offerings with broader cash management solutions

Establish cross line of business routines with key partners such as product, marketing, and finance to bring back learnings from the field to spur new ideas and inform strategy to ensure feedback loops from sales teams inform product and marketing strategies

Utilize data analytics to track performance, interpret and forecast trends, and make data‑driven decisions to ensure new account and balance goals are met; provide appropriate inputs to financial forecasts for the month, quarter, and year and identify opportunities for relationship deepening and retention

Monitor and communicate progress weekly to Regional Presidents: competitive and regulatory environment, economy, Huntington’s revenue and loss performance, plan targets, revenue risks, pricing trends, and optimal customer experiences

Communicate changes to positioning, financials, trends, strategy, and other analysis within regular meetings, written communications, and updates to stakeholders, including executive leadership, marketing, sales, finance, and risk

Performs other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of deposit product management or business banking sales

Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree

Experience in business banking sales, relationship management, or deposit product strategy and a strong understanding of business client needs, including cash flow, liquidity, and operational banking

Proven success in driving deposit growth within the business banking segment

Experience influencing sales teams and driving adoption of deposit solutions

Familiarity with CRM tools and sales performance metrics

Must have the appropriate financial management experience and analytical capability to translate hard data into actionable strategies and tactics

Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze situations and risks, determine paths of action, and execute flawlessly

Excellent executive‑level presentation skills

Must be savvy and passionate about driving results and innovation

Technical skills: SAS, Essbase, Microsoft Office suite

Compensation Range Total Base Pay Range 102,000.00 - 208,000.00 USD

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
