ranging from up to $400,000 annually Key Responsibilities
Perform general dental procedures including cleanings, fillings, crowns, and preventive care, while utilizing orthodontic skills to assess and create treatment plans for patients requiring braces or other orthodontic appliances. Evaluate, diagnose, and treat orthodontic cases, including designing and adjusting braces and aligners, and monitor patient progress throughout the course of treatment. Skilled in managing patient comfort, including sedation and anesthesia techniques when necessary Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-surgical care, and orthodontic maintenance, providing clear instructions for successful treatment outcomes. Maintain accurate patient records, document treatments and progress, and collaborate with specialists as needed for complex cases. Participating in continuing education to stay current with the latest orthodontic techniques and technology Coordinating with the treatment coordinator to ensure efficient scheduling and follow-up care Maintaining communication with referring dentists and other healthcare providers Proficiency in using orthodontic appliances, including braces, clear aligners, and retainers Qualifications
Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school. DDS or DMD and Completion of an Accredited Orthodontic Residency Program Expertise in orthodontic treatment planning and execution Proficiency in using orthodontic appliances, including braces, clear aligners, and retainers Experience with Various Orthodontic Technologies and Appliances General Skills
