As the Plant Manager you will be responsible for the manufacturing operations of your facility. This includes direct responsibility for the scheduling, production, maintenance, and warehouse functions of the site. In addition, you will have indirect oversight of prepress, customer relations, and the quality functions of the site. As the Plant Manager, you will work with each functional area to achieve key performance metrics for the site for safety, quality, customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability that were developed during the annual budgeting process. This includes development and implementation of continuous improvement activities to assist the site in achieving or exceeding those goals. Ideal candidate: You should have at least 10 years prior experience managing a mid-large size digital print facility (HP preferred). Must have experience in digital print and flexible packaging products having utilized manufacturing ERP systems for shop floor data collection. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure quality product is produced in a safe, consistent, and timely way to exceed customer expectations. Lead the management team on the creation, implementation and ongoing monitoring of manufacturing plans, goals, and continuous improvement projects. Create and implement applicable training and develop initiatives for direct reports. Manage and develop direct reports to include performance management metrics and disciplinary action. Coach and develop direct reports to enable their ability to assume additional responsibility as the business grows. Lead the development of annual capital plans along with supplying proper justification or ROI for the facility. Communicate data, findings, and initiatives of the company in regularly scheduled plant meetings. Collaborate with Functional Directors to have indirect oversight of the Customer Relations, Prepress, Quality and Purchasing departments. Retrieve and compile facility performance data. Analyze and use the data to direct and inform continuous improvement projects. Utilize the ERP system to extract and analyze relevant data to drive improvement of operational metrics. Ensure the scheduling team maximizes system capabilities for efficient scheduling of production equipment. Provide information to plant leadership by compiling, sorting and analyzing production and performance data. Incorporate lean principles to evaluate, implement, and continuously improve production processes and procedures. Place specific emphasis on key metrics, including material waste, setup time, equipment speeds, labor variance, material variance, quality metrics, and on-time delivery. Manage capital projects, including but not limited to, equipment installs and relocations as needed. Develop and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on product costs and margins. This includes determining and achieving year-over-year reductions in spending categories that the Plant Manager is directly responsible for. Analyze profitability by account and product line. Recommend improvements and implement accordingly. Ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality, productivity, efficiency and responsiveness. Participate in cross plant initiatives to ensure transfer of best practices across all sites. Play an active role in senior-level negotiations with vendors, as appropriate. Evaluate and develop new techniques and equipment. Foster an open-door environment and solutions-based approach across all departments and shifts. Additional duties as required. Qualifications

Education and Experience
College Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred. At least 10 years’ experience in a mid- or large-size flexographic print manufacturer is required. At least 5 of those years should be in a management position within the company. Proven record of leading manufacturing teams to meet or exceed company goals. Expert knowledge of flexographic printing processes is required. Additional digital press experience preferred. Lean / Six Sigma experience is preferred. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Proactive, creative thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities. Self-starter and a team player who will thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. Knowledge of manufacturing ERP systems is a plus (FlexLink is preferred). Proficient with Microsoft office (including Microsoft Excel and Outlook). Comfortable with data driven management and data tools and analysis. Mechanical aptitude and ability to relate mechanical and technical concepts in non-technical language is required. Supervisory Responsibilities
Direct supervision of the Scheduler, Production Manager or Supervisor, and Maintenance Indirect supervision of production team (press operators, rewinders, press helpers, etc.), Customer Service, Pre-Press, and Quality. Training Requirements
Willing to attend the required training courses or sessions related to the job as assigned. Physical Demands
Regular sitting and repetitive office tasks are required. Position frequently enters and interacts with production area and is required to stand, crouch, lift or do other physical tasks from time to time. Pass a pre-employment drug test and subject to random drug screening. Work Environment
Regular exposure to dust and noise in the production environment. Warehouse environment temperatures may be influenced by outside temperatures. Personal Protective Equipment
Safety shoes and eye protection are highly recommended in the production area. Travel
Minimal travel will be required for this position, up to 10% annually.
