Overview
ADP is hiring a Lead Data Analyst (Data Security Space) . Hybrid role in Roseland, NJ (corporate HQ) or Alpharetta, GA. Join our Data Security Services (DSS) team as part of the Zero Trust Services (ZTS) group and contribute to the Zero Trust Data Pillar. The primary aspects of this role include supporting leadership with accurate reporting and aiding Security Engineers & Analysts by generating tested and qualified results from large log (SIEM) datasets to improve data control and governance. Responsibilities
Support business leadership with accurate reporting.
Support Security Engineers & Analysts by generating (tested and qualified) results from large log (SIEM) datasets to help drive and improve data control & governance.
Design and implement data security and privacy policies; identify weak control areas and analyze mitigating controls; mitigate operational risks related to data in motion and at rest; help develop and drive the data security program.
Design, analyze, and report metrics to monitor compliance with Global Security Network standards; deliver sustainable governance, with orchestration and automation.
Interact with multiple teams across ADP (Global Network Solutions, End User Computing, IT Architecture, Data Stewards, Project Management, Legal, Data Privacy, IT Operations) to develop and advance the data security program.
Qualifications
Required Experience:
Advanced analysis skills with emphasis on statistics; ability to work with large enterprise logging systems, collect, clean, and analyze billions of data signals; apply natural language processing to normalize data and extract insights.
Analysis tools (two or more): Excel, SQL, GraphQL, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Programming: Python (required); additional skills (PowerApps, PowerShell, JavaScript, Web APIs) are a plus.
2-3+ years in a similar role; level aligned with experience, education, and certifications.
Preferred Technology Skills: MS DLP, MS Sensitivity Labels; knowledge of Data Security concepts including DLP across storage, endpoints, network, and AI.
Technology Platforms: SharePoint, ServiceNow, NetCool (IBM Watson), Splunk, Securiti.AI, Windows, Linux, MacOS.
Leadership / Process Mindset: ability to advise, develop, and coordinate cross-discipline teams to establish sustainable data security processes and reduce security incidents globally.
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence and work with executives, product teams, enterprise technology, privacy, and information security teams.
Educational background: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Math/Statistics/Applied Analytics preferred).
What You’ll Do (Day-to-Day)
Planning: Assess current state of DLP technologies; plan risk-reduction improvements and enhancements to web security services; manage time and priorities to resolve complex issues.
Develop: Use existing tools and data to prioritize risk-reduction actions.
Measure: Create metrics to track risk reduction opportunities within the program.
Collaborate: Work with cross-disciplinary teams to test, identify, remediate vulnerabilities, and implement security policies; influence others with analysis and expertise.
Design & Process Improvement: Define requirements to support prevention and detection capabilities; translate security policies into business processes; continuously improve outcomes and monitor compliance.
Operate: Support governance routines for auditing compliance; enable orchestration and automation; evaluate and adopt new security technologies.
Security Incident Response: Analyze and govern security processes to enable rapid incident response.
Security & Compliance: Prioritize remediation of data controls to meet audits and privacy requirements; ensure alignment with global security standards.
