The Tomahawk Mill is currently seeking resumes for a Purchasing Manager.
Principle Responsibilities
Manage the purchasing and storeroom functions
Ensure compliance with all PCA purchasing policies
Buy materials and services, along with identifying alternate sources for cost savings
Function as the buyer on POs >$100,000, includes verifying freight, resolving discrepancies, etc.
Manage the annual Blanket PO process-quotes, approvals, PO issuance
Prepare RFQ’s, bid packages and Master Service Agreements
Maintain adequate inventories to ensure no operational disruptions
Ensure the accuracy of storeroom transactions
Supervise buyers
Monitor training of storeroom staff
Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience
Supervisory experience
CPM preferred
5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
This position is on-site at the Tomahawk, WI mill and is not remote or hybrid
Must possess a valid driver's license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong computer skills
Detailed oriented
Effective communication skills
Vendor negotiations
Material sourcing and expediting
Perpetual inventory systems
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
