The Quality Assurance Manager oversees and maintains responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Assurance for Clinical Laboratory. Oversees regulatory compliance for Clinical Laboratories at NYU Langone Health. Job Responsibilities Laboratory Safety: Demonstrates knowledge of safety within the Pathology laboratories including biological, chemical, and waste management. Identifies practices that require standardization throughout the department and refers improvement project proposals to the director for evaluation. Quality Systems: Cross campus coordination of quality systems. Reports to Director of Quality & Regulatory for Clinical and Anatomic Pathology. Non Conformances: Tracks non-conformance and its possible consequences. Events: Monitors occurrence/incident reports and reports its findings to laboratory administration. Develops, maintains, and implements QA orientation program for pathologists. Procedure Development: Maintains contact with agencies and tracks laws and regulations that may affect the departments policies. Data: Oversees data compilation for the department as it relates to quality assurance. Proficiency Testing: Oversees proficiency testing performance, result review, and follow up action if necessary Quality Management: Facilitates the preparation of formal corrective and preventive action initiatives. Tracks all employee injuries and reports in monthly QA meetings. Minimum Qualifications NYSDOH certified clinical lab technologist 7-10 years experience working in clinical pathology Excellent computer Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and project presentation skills Working knowledge of improvement methodology Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree, CPHQ/CPPS Lean Six Sigma certification NYU Langone Health is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
