Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Foundry Plant Manager at Alliant Castings, Inc. The Plant Manager is responsible for managing and supervising the operations of the foundry, overseeing the production of metal castings, and ensuring that all processes meet safety, quality and productivity standards. This role involves managing a team of foundry workers, coordinating production schedules, and implementing efficient manufacturing processes. This role is located in Winona, MN. Key Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Live, demonstrate and reinforce company culture and core values. Lead and manage a team of foundry workers, assigning tasks and ensuring that production targets are met. Provide leadership and direction to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Lead process improvement initiatives and strategy related topics. Production Management: Plan and organize production schedules to meet customer demands and deadlines. Monitor and control production processes to achieve optimal efficiency and quality standards. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate production activities. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with Quality and Engineering to help ensure quality is built into production. Enforce quality control measures to ensure the production of high-quality metal castings. Conduct regular production inspections of castings to identify and address quality issues promptly. Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Compliance: Enforce EHS protocols and ensure that all workers adhere to EHS regulations. Lead EHS committee and implement EHS measures as needed. Equipment Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance and repair of foundry equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality. Coordinate with maintenance staff to address equipment issues promptly. Lead and coordinate capital equipment projects. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of production activities, quality control measures, and safety records. Generate regular reports on production performance and key metrics. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor's degree in metallurgy, engineering, or a related field (preferred); or five to eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience in foundry operations, with a focus on management and supervision. Excellent leadership and communication skills. Understanding of safety regulations and quality control standards.
