BRONX HOUSE Job Title: Program Aide Department: Afterschool Reports To: SONYC Program Director/Assistant Director Hours: 25 hours per week FLSA: Part-time Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour Position Summary Bronx House Inc. seeks a dynamic After School Program Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible, adept at multitasking, and possess strong problem-solving skills. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our program by supporting various activities, maintaining a safe environment for participants, and addressing any challenges that may arise. Your ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and solve problems effectively will be essential in providing a positive and supportive experience for our participants. Key Responsibilities

Prepare and organize supplies needed for daily activities and ensure they are readily available for use by students and instructors. Conduct regular monitoring of common areas to maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness. Promptly address any issues or concerns that may arise and inform Director and Assistant Director. Assist in escorting students to designated areas for early pick-up by parents or guardians, ensuring proper sign-out procedures are followed. Assist in dismissal procedures by supervising students as they gather belongings, ensuring they depart safely, and aiding as needed to maintain order and safety during the dismissal process. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

HS Diploma required; 30 college credits or Associates preferred. At least 2-3 years of experience working with school-age afterschool programs/camps. Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and professionalism. Very organized, self-motivated and able to make good decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Successfully complete DOH background clearance. Bi-Lingual is a plus. Working Conditions

Must be able to work during after school hours, typically between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM. May require extended hours during certain DOE school breaks and closures. May require occasional evening or weekend hours for special events. This is a seasonal position running from September to June.
