DIRECTOR OF ADULT SERVICES JOB DESCRIPTION SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: The VP/Dir of Adult Services (DAS) is responsible for the overall management and administration of a cluster of Adult Residential Programs and ADT. The management functions entail planning, budgeting, and implementation and assessment of services to ensure that individuals’ needs are being met and that services are high quality. WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: The DAS reports to the VP of Residential Services and receives additional supervision and clinical support and direction from the Vice President of Clinical Services, CEO and CFO. The DAS supervises and works with assigned personnel to ensure the consistent implementation of a high quality of client services and educational and clinical programs. The DAS assures the quality of services while maintaining positive and consistent working relationships with all staff and works as a constructive and active team member in all duties. Essential duties and responsibilities
Maintain a thorough knowledge of current practices in the field and ensure that all programs practice the following principles: uphold individual rights and dignity; promote individual control; promote community membership; promote development of meaningful relations with others; promote personal growth and accomplishments; promote personal well-being, health, and safety Continue to provide RBT related responsibilities and duties as needed for Florida Division Department Specific Duties: Ensure that all individuals’ health care needs are being met and that our medication administration regulations are consistently applied and complied with. Maintain a thorough knowledge of and oversight of individuals’ financial resources, including government benefits, housing subsidies and other resources that they may be entitled to Ensure that all homes and day program are kept in a safe, clean and attractive manner and that all safety plans, programs and policies are communicated to staff and are implemented and practiced consistently. Work cohesively with the Clinical Department in the oversight of all Individualized Behavior Support Plans and the overall adherence to Positive Behavior Supports across all sites Participate as an effective, respectful and positive member of the Senior Management Team and contribute to joint efforts of the agency. Maintain an appreciation for the scope and responsibilities of fellow managers Qualifications/Desired Characteristics
Master’s Degree in a related field Current BCBA certification (strongly preferred, but experience in field may be enough). A minimum of five years full-time Human Service employment at least three of which involved supervisory experience. Experience overseeing a residential program or a day program for adults with autism Experience working with adults with an developmental disability diagnosis required Compensation
Compensation: $100,000 per year
