Overview
We are seeking a Specialty Programs Liaison to support care coordinators, supervisors and managers with accessing Multi System Youth Funding (MSY), 1915(c) Medicaid waivers, Prior Authorizations for Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTF), and other specialty areas within the OhioRISE program. The Specialist will serve as the internal subject matter expert and will focus on increasing the skill level of care coordinators and supervisors while also directly working with child and family teams, Aetna, and the Ohio Department of Medicaid. This position will track and monitor applications and renewals to ensure quality and compliance standards are met. The position must reside in a CME service county or a county contiguous to these counties. Eligible counties include: Coshocton, Fairfield, Guernsey, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Washington, Athens, Fayette, Gallia, Jackson, Highland, Hocking, Meigs, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, or Vinton. The pay range is $52,609.67 - $63,282.33 annually, based on experience, education, and/or licensure. The candidate will engage with Child and Family Teams at the request of Prior Authorizations for PRTF placements, assist with MSY applications, monitor waivers, and support compliance with 1915(c) waiver requirements.
Responsibilities
Promote a culture of team member recognition and foster teamwork with Child Family Teams, within the department, agency, and with stakeholders
Serve as the subject matter expert for the program on MSY, 1915(c) waivers, and PRTF applications
Act as a liaison between ISBH, Aetna, and the Ohio Department of Medicaid for MSY applications, 1915(c) waivers, and PRTF prior authorizations
Engage with the Child and Family Team for Prior Authorization of PRTF placements; collate clinical documentation and support the team through discharge
Support the Child and Family Team with MSY applications to ensure complete and accurate submissions
Assist with understanding, documenting, and monitoring 1915(c) waiver requirements
Track requests, updates, renewals, and deadlines to ensure quality and compliance
Assist managers with chart and documentation audits; identify training and support opportunities for care coordinators
Provide advanced and/or complex care coordination services as needed
All other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, education, counseling, psychology, or another related field preferred
LSW/LPC is preferred
Two years of experience providing coordinated supportive services/care coordination
Quality improvement experience (auditing, data tracking, chart reviews to ensure compliance, fidelity measures) and training/coaching experience required
Experience in the behavioral health field; preferably with multi-system youth or individuals with autism/developmental disabilities
Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations for behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and autism services
Knowledge of high-fidelity wraparound services preferred (training provided post-hire)
Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to prioritize multiple tasks
Clinical knowledge of children with co-occurring developmental disorders and complex behavioral health issues
Experience working with Electronic Health Record systems
