Position Overview We are seeking a

Housing Compliance Specialist

Apply now to join a vibrant and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with government agency regulations related to housing regulations. The ideal candidate for the Housing Compliance Specialist role will have experience auditing applicant/resident files, monitoring rental assistance/subsidy availability, calculating utility allowances and unit income targeting percentage requirements, and compliance with HUD, LIHTC programs. This is a full‑time, onsite position in the Fort Lauderdale area.

Salary / Hourly Rate Up to $70k with Benefits

Responsibilities

Conduct initial qualifying LIHTC and HUD files.

Assist with initial lease‑ups by reviewing housing applications, eligibility, and ensuring all required documentation is complete prior to tenants moving in.

Enter data into compliance databases, ensure accuracy, and update as needed.

Maintain current action documentation and determine the resolution of compliance issues.

Communicate critical information and provide thorough written communication to stakeholders.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Required Experience / Skills

A minimum of two years of experience in affordable housing administration, restrictions, and compliance.

Experience with HUD, LIHTC, and income verification.

Auditing applicant/resident files for compliance with government regulations.

Monitoring rental assistance/subsidy availability.

Utility allowance calculations and unit income targeting percentage requirements.

Preferred Experience / Skills

Knowledge of TRACS/EIV and waiting lists.

Education Requirements

High school diploma is required.
