The Quality Department Supervisor position leads operations in the Quality Department areas within the plant and drives Quality standards within the production process.
Responsibilities
Lead UAW Production Teams
Lead initiatives that positively influence Quality
Support and collaborate with work groups to resolve TPV and DCV build critical part and process quality issues
Ability to interface with Plant Hourly (Unionized workforce), Salaried Personnel, Plant Management, Staff Operations, and the Engineering Community
Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with the customer
Ability to assign work to a unionized workforce and manage employee accountability to follow processes pertaining to daily work, including conducting transparent and value driven partnership discussions with direct reports to hold employees accountable
Ability to prioritize key issues and allocate appropriate UAW hourly floor employees
Manage overtime of hourly employees
Manage and ensure Safety, Quality, and Productivity standards are met
Ability to work any shift, as well as rotating shifts and working weekends as necessary
Ability to work independently with limited oversight
Qualifications
Some college or equivalent experience
Strong organizational and administrative skills
UAW experience
Data Analysis experience
Root cause Analysis
Mechanical experience
Ability to multi-task
Strong problem solving and conflict management skills
1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook)
Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate Ford+ (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding and communication skills
