Purchasing Manager - Bear Mountain role at Guest Services, Inc. Oversees procurement for the Lodging units and all F&B operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while managing staff, inventory, and budgets to meet demand and regulatory standards. Essential Functions

Compile all needs for food, beverages, paper and cleaning supplies for all operations. Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment. Plan, assess and anticipate departmental needs based on historical calculations and seasonality. Maintain records of goods ordered and received. Adhere to all company procurement policies and procedures. As directed by the F&B Manager or GM, prepare or approve specifications for all purchases, vendor selection, and analysis of quotations for major purchases. Implement and monitor food safety and quality standards, including HACCP health and safety protocols. Review recommendations to ensure bids meet specifications, terms and conditions, and obtain best value for funds expended. Locate vendors, interview them to determine product availability, and review conformance to company policy. Monitor inventory levels, manage ordering and delivery of raw materials, and control costs. Manage the department budget, track production costs, and report on financial performance. Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability. Drive company van or other vehicle to pick up products, make deliveries, or disperse products to outlets as required. Skills and Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field; general knowledge of accounting or business principles. 3-5 years of related experience or formal training; ability to apply accounting principles and coordinate major administrative functions. Demonstrated ability to interact with a wide variety of people; ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate multiple priorities. Strong analytical ability; leadership and management skills to lead, motivate, and develop teams. Food safety knowledge: understanding of HACCP and ServSafe or similar programs. Operational expertise: production planning, inventory management, and process optimization. Financial acumen: understand budgets, control costs, and analyze financial data. Excellent verbal and written communication; problem-solving skills. Must have a valid driver’s license. Physical and Mental Requirements

Ability to sit at a desk for long periods; reading and writing work-related documents in English. Clear speech and ability to understand and communicate in English with vendors, customers, and staff. Knowledge of food and beverage terminology in hospitality. Professional interpersonal conduct with a wide variety of people. Frequent movement between units; ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and operate in a dynamic environment. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion and stand for long periods; work in temperature-extreme environments as needed. Ability to work within a team setting with other department leaders. Equipment Used

Typical office equipment and computer software (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook). Hand trucks, carts, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment as needed.
