The Role We are seeking an adaptive, self-motivated Design Verification Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will help drive and enhance AMD’s ability to deliver the highest-quality, industry-leading technologies to market. You will collaborate with experts in RTL, firmware, circuit, and architecture to develop cutting-edge, differentiating IPs.
The Person You are passionate about modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification. You thrive in a collaborative environment, have excellent communication skills, and enjoy working with engineers across multiple sites and time zones. You bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn, and the drive to take on challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain functional verification tests.
Build directed and random verification tests; debug failures to identify root cause and work with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve issues.
Perform functional and code coverage verification.
Provide technical support to other teams as needed.
Preferred Experience
10+ years of ASIC design verification experience.
Proficiency with
Verilog, SystemVerilog , and modern verification libraries such as
UVM .
Experience with
C/C++ .
Background in
DDR or Memory Controller ;
PHY verification
is a plus.
Familiarity with scripting languages such as
Python, Perl, or TCL .
Experience collaborating with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to verify new features.
Understanding of
Design for Test (DFT)
methodologies; DFT verification experience is a plus.
Proficiency in debugging firmware and RTL code using simulation tools.
Academic Credentials
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Computer Engineering
or
Electrical Engineering .
