Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, design consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors and owner’s representatives to ensure alignment with client goals from initiation to completion.
Comprehensive knowledge of contract documents (Turner contract, plans, specifications and applicable codes).
Lead, supervise and develop Turner MEP staff, including performance appraisals.
Oversee daily activities of Engineer‑MEP, Superintendent‑MEP, and subordinates.
Manage MEP procurement, project budgets, quality, safety, engineering, coordination, scheduling, installation, commissioning and close‑out processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in design, cost, sequencing, logistics and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical systems (or equivalent).
Demonstrated ability to identify design features that command cost premiums and recommend alternatives that deliver comparable or improved function.
Strong oral and written communication skills; strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of project management and scheduling software desirable.
LEED accreditation preferred.
Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
Physical Demands Ability to climb stairs and ladders, use lifting up to 50 lbs, use hands, stand, kneel, crouch or crawl, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and focus adjustment. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
Work Environment Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles or caustic chemicals, moderate noise level. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
