Manager, Purchasing (Sutter Health Park)

Base pay range $68,640.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr Overview

The Purchasing Manager will oversee all food & beverage procurement needs, warehouse management of receiving, distribution, and storage processes, and inventory control management within the facility. The role requires forecasting, negotiating, leading staff, managing budgets, and adhering to company guidelines. The role will also assist payables processes to ensure purveyor partnerships are managed appropriately. Experience in sports and entertainment is preferred. Responsibilities

Leader of Company policy processes – purchase order adherence, budget management, pricing update communication, utilization of preferred suppliers and manufacturers. Manager of location spend reports – preferred supplier adherence. Sponsorship partnership evaluation. Coordinate single source management for key opportunities of multi-market providers – small equipment, office, rentals, etc. Assist new account set-up. Coordinate and ensure best practices for safe receiving, storage, and distribution are implemented in a synchronized manner. Train and direct safe and accurate receiving, storage, and distribution conduct. Assist with purveyor delivery scoring to validate potential adjustments of item selections and purveyors utilized. Lead with the finance department to communicate and adhere to contract terms, minimums, and additional charges. Review late invoice payment reports monthly and guide the location. Review monthly location statements and reconciliation by location. Lead inventory turn rate improvement initiatives and related processes. Manage month-end processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Assist with slow and dead stock management and coordinate related actions such as returns or transfers. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years’ management experience in Purchasing and Warehouse management, preferably in sports and entertainment. Trustworthy with direct, honest communication at all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to all levels within and outside the organization. Ability to adapt to changing trends and circumstances, learn from past mistakes, and adjust accordingly. Strong organizational skills and ability to plan resourceful workflows. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a deadline-oriented environment. Commitment to delivering high levels of customer and client service with initiative and leadership. Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management. Flexibility to work extended hours, including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of inventory management systems and POS systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong logistics skills; ability to develop and produce proposals. LEAD Certified. Serve Safe Certified. Compensation
