We are seeking a highly motivated
Online Auction and Digital Manager
assistant to oversee our online auction operations, aid digital marketing efforts, provide administrative support, and strengthen our social media presence. This is a key role supporting day-to-day operations and long-term growth with substantial growth opportunities. Key Responsibilities
Auction Management: Coordinate and manage all aspects of the online auction process, including item intake, cataloging, photography, and auction setup. Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and appealing product descriptions and condition reports. Upload and manage auction listings on platforms like CTBIDS, E-BAY, and Facebook. Monitor auction progress, manage closing procedures, and support post-auction activities such as invoicing, pick-up, and shipping. Assist with developing new and current marketing initiatives. Digital and Web Management: Help maintain and update company websites with current inventory, auction dates, and promotions. Optimize listings and site content for SEO and user experience. Work with design and marketing tools to ensure high-quality digital presentations. Track website and auction performance using analytics tools and prepare reports. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative assistance to leadership, including scheduling, file organization, and data entry. Maintain internal databases, customer contact lists, and client records. Assist with shipping logistics, vendor coordination, and client communications. Respond to phones and emails in a timely and professional manner. Social Media Management: Plan, create, and publish engaging content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Google, LinkedIn). Promote upcoming auctions and estate sales; highlight featured items and client success stories. Engage with followers, monitor comments/messages, and grow the online community. Monitor analytics to refine content strategy and maximize engagement. Qualifications
2+ years of experience in online auctions, digital marketing, or administrative coordination (experience in art/antiques or resale is a plus). Proficient with auction platforms, CMS, social media tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with social media marketing and content creation. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Comfortable working independently and in a team environment. Based in or able to commute to Northern Virginia (hybrid schedule available). Preferred Skills: Knowledge of art, antiques, vintage, or collectibles; experience with CRM, inventory or project management systems; basic photo editing; understanding of SEO and web metrics.
