Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the shop team, developing training goals for each employee through in-house and third-party programs.
Manage the Washington Shop in alignment with GBI’s corporate safety program and company handbook.
Support project teams on-site, teaching and promoting best practices for equipment maintenance and efficient operation.
Facilitate clear communication within the shop team, across project teams, and with the Super Shop.
Ensure compliance with the Company Equipment Maintenance Program and assist in balancing resources across regions.
Conduct regular meetings with operations leadership (weekly with Operations Manager and Master Mechanic; monthly with Division President).
Supervise Master Mechanic and maintenance staff to ensure accountability and alignment with company standards.
Manage shop financials, including regular reviews and reporting through Power BI.
Oversee utilization and scheduling of GBI-owned and rental equipment.
Ensure proper registration, licensing, and compliance of all equipment.
Drive maintenance efficiency, including fuel, oil, grease (FOG), scheduled maintenance, and repairs.

This position offers a salary range of
$100K to $150K annually .

Position Requirements
Required Education, Experience, and Technical Knowledge
Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
Minimum 10 years of experience in general civil construction
Proven experience leading and managing teams
Strong organizational skills
Demonstrated commitment to safety awareness
Computer Skills:
Proficient in HCSS HeavyJob, MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Experience with equipment inspection and compliance software (Clue preferred)
Familiarity with fleet management systems such as Samsara (dash cameras)
Experience with maintenance management tools such as Equipment360 for time and work order tracking
Certifications & Licenses:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
