Responsible for championing and leading Lean initiatives at the Plant level by utilizing the company's WIN Strategy. Organizes associates in value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in all office, factory and support functions. Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using the Lean Journey Assessment, financial performance measure and Lean Report Card measures. Transfers the ownership of lean principles to facility leadership. Responsibilities

Leads and guides Lean initiatives within the Plant. Works with Plant level management on Lean process projects using lean tools and metrics. Assists in the development of a Lean Strategy to be implemented plant-wide. Coordinates initiatives at the plant and trains associates on how to continually eliminate waste. Ensures that steering committees and teams are established at the location and are implementing the Lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to Corporate requirements. Technologies and methodologies include Value Stream Mapping, Cellular Manufacturing, Kanban Pull Systems, Quick Changeover, design for lean, one piece flow, inventory reduction, site tracking centers, etc. Makes implementation and results a top priority and regularly updates the Plant’s Lean implementation plan. Empowers every employee in the Plant through positive reinforcement of Lean. Provides effective change management, leadership, and optimization in implementing the corporate WIN strategy across the Plant. Serves as a catalyst for successful and sustained lean implementation. Provides high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting material control, product quality and customer service goals. Supports coaching and teaching of lean principles through the use of outside resources. Ensures ongoing education of all employees at the Plant in Lean. Promotes a Continuous Learning environment. Position requires understanding the current culture by reviewing existing documentation of policies and procedures. Works with all operating disciplines using value stream management to develop a master plan for meeting Lean goals. Qualifications

Four year degree or equivalent. One to Three years of manufacturing technical experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on approach. Understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Transformation (Mapping), Just-in-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S's, Visual Management, etc. Participation in numerous lean events in manufacturing, engineering and support areas. Ability to articulate the desired state, purpose and value of lean and drive waste elimination. Good understanding of financial measurements and goals and strong analytical skills. Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment. Strong presentation skills to share success and ideas of the Division. Equal Employment Opportunity
