Join the SM-3 IIA program and lead a team of Material Program Managers located onsite in Tucson. The role requires a self-starter who can develop and achieve program objectives in a matrixed environment and successfully interface with functional and program senior leadership. You will serve as the liaison between Supply Chain and the Program Team for Supply Chain, and create and manage Material Program Strategies and Plans to ensure flawless execution of products and programs from front end through contract closure.
This role requires advanced knowledge of leading teams, proposal activities, customer negotiation support, material requirements planning (MRP), subcontract management, and project management (startup and execution). You will apply your supply chain knowledge within a matrixed organization, develop material program strategy/plan for programs or IPTs, participate in proposals by leading supply chain activities (task descriptions and basis of estimates) and assist with generation of Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW). You will influence and communicate across functions and with external parties. Location: Tucson, AZ. There is NO relocation assistance for this role.
What You Will Do
Work closely with Program Management, IPTs, Engineering, Quality, Production Control and Procurement to develop and execute Material Strategies which support customer requirements and meet Program objectives.
Lead and manage a team of Material Program Managers (MPMs) to ensure successful execution of production contracts, including procurement, logistics, and supplier management, and brief program and customer leadership on Supply Chain status, material constraints, risk mitigation or opportunity capture plans.
Support supplier negotiations and PO placement as required to meet program cost and schedule objectives.
Financial management (e.g., earned value, budgets, targets, working capital, proposals, material sales forecasts). The MPM may act as the Control Account Manager.
Own the supplier management process (Supplier Risk/Opportunity Management Plan, supplier performance and metrics, international issues, make/buy strategy, Collaborative Agreement process) and communicate customer flow-through requirements such as FAR/DFARS, ITAR, offsets, public law, quality, warranty, etc.
Resolve issues and conflicts across organizations and with suppliers.
Manage timely and compliant quarterly Estimates At Completion (EACs) including Risk & Opportunity management.
Support MRP scheduling and Master Data requests.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years of relevant supply chain experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
Experience with supply chain, production control, and/or procurement processes and requirements.
Experience managing program cost and schedule.
Experience with Prime Contract Requirements and Statements of Work (SSOWs).
Experience using supply chain planning tools (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis).
Active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Advanced Microsoft Office skillset.
Advanced supply chain planning tool experience (e.g., SAP/PRISM, Kinaxis, MFT, ROMS).
Experience with proposals or material estimating.
MPM Level 4 (or higher) Certification.
EVMS Certification.
Experience with Earned Value Management and/or financial forecasting.
