Overview
Our client is seeking a
Manufacturing Engineer
to join their growing operations team. This role offers the opportunity to lead meaningful process improvements across a dynamic production environment. The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving skills, a foundation in lean manufacturing, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys finding better ways to build, and values continuous improvement as a daily mindset. Responsibilities
Analyze and improve manufacturing processes using lean methodologies and statistical tools Review and redesign workspace layouts, equipment positioning, and labor flow for optimal efficiency Collaborate with engineering on product design and material use to enhance manufacturability and reduce waste Coordinate with procurement and vendors to select tools, equipment, and materials that meet quality and production standards Estimate production time, workforce needs, and cost impacts for management planning Drive root cause analysis of production issues and implement corrective actions Support pilot production runs and ensure smooth implementation of product or process changes Use CAD tools (SolidWorks preferred) for design evaluation and process planning Monitor and report on KPIs, supporting data-driven decision making Maintain records of equipment and tooling; submit requisitions for purchases as needed Comply with all company safety and quality procedures Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field Minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, 5 Whys, A3) Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and statistical analysis Strong communication and organizational skills Competency in Microsoft Office applications Preferences
Experience in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, or similar production processes Background working with ERP or production planning systems Proficient in 3D CAD (SolidWorks strongly preferred) Understanding of nesting programs and material utilization strategies Exposure to team-based problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives Titles Encouraged to Apply
