Battery Engineer – Aerospace

We’re seeking an experienced
Battery Engineer
to join a growing aerospace team driving the next generation of custom battery systems for critical applications. This role offers the opportunity to see your designs in action, contributing directly to advanced aerospace technologies. Responsibilities
Design and develop advanced cell and battery architectures that meet aerospace standards Perform modeling, parameter analysis, and optimization of battery designs Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams for packaging and integration Develop and execute test plans to validate cell and battery performance Document results and present technical findings internally and externally Support sustaining engineering to improve existing products Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis of returned battery systems Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Engineering 5+ years of experience in
battery design, development, and testing
(preferably OEM or aerospace/defense environment) Knowledge of
Li-ion fundamentals, impedance, failure modes, and testing methods Familiarity with
battery test equipment
and
data analysis tools
(MATLAB preferred) Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly Experience with SolidWorks (preferred) Understanding of FAA regulations or aerospace qualification standards (a plus) Compensation and Benefits
