Job Title: Process Control Engineer 3 Location: East Peoria, IL Zip Code: 61611 Duration: 12 months Pay Rate: $40/hr Start Date: Immediate Job Description
This position is responsible for managing the quality, development, and validation of suppliers for drivetrain design control, as well as developing new suppliers using key elements of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Collaborative Product and Process Development (CPPD). The Process Control Engineer will lead problem-solving initiatives related to quality issues and drive continuous improvement efforts. Additionally, this role supports source council deliverables, including capacity planning, data analysis, and the implementation of effective countermeasures. Responsibilities
Support and develop drivetrain suppliers as assigned to meet Client quality requirements Conduct supplier audits (QCLDM, QMS, PCN, CAV, BIQ etc.) for supplier selection and drive corrective actions Collaborate with suppliers to improve manufacturing processes (foundry audits; machining audits) capability Lead APQP (CPPD, PPAP, FMEA) and support sourcing council for NPI/NSI project Apply quality tools (e.g., 8D, SPC, FMEA, BIQ) for root cause analysis and corrective actions Conduct supplier rough capacity capability planning (RCCP) and identify gaps in supplier capacity Develop and execute improvement plans to elevate supplier capabilities to meet Supplier Excellence Recognition Skills
Problem-solving (8D, Root Cause Analysis) Effective communications, verbal and written Prioritizing and multitasking as assigned Ability to read blueprints and Client drawings with emphasis on GD&T Leading cross-functional team meetings (engineering/supplier/receiving facility) Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power BI Experience with machining, foundry, casting, forging or plastic molding processes Education/Experience
5-10 years manufacturing experience required (foundry, forging, machining, plastic molding, gear machining) Equal Employment Opportunity
