We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Controls Engineering Co-Op
for 2026. This co-op provides the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced engineers on key projects focused on automation, electrical design, and controls integration within a manufacturing setting. Term : Two terms are available: January - June 2026 June - December 2026 Key Responsibilities
Assist in the design, development, and testing of control systems for automated machinery and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with senior controls engineers to create and modify control logic, HMI/SCADA interfaces, and PLC programming. Document control system designs, specifications, and user manuals. Support troubleshooting and debugging efforts to quickly identify and resolve control system issues. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of control systems with mechanical, electrical, and software components. Assist in commissioning and startup activities, ensuring proper functionality and performance of control systems. Participate in design reviews and contribute ideas to improve the overall performance and efficiency of control systems. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in controls engineering. Qualifications
2+ years of college coursework completed in
Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering , or a related field. Basic knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
