Engineering Manager – Heavy Metal Manufacturing Salary $110,000 - $120,000 + Benefits & Paid Relocation to the Southern USA Are you ready to take the next step in your career and lead a high-performing engineering team? Our award-winning client is seeking an Engineering Manager to play a key role in driving production success and shaping the future of their manufacturing facility. Responsibilities

Support production by providing timely solutions to challenges and keeping operations running smoothly. Lead and mentor engineering, drafting, and maintenance staff—helping your team grow while building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Take ownership of removing production barriers, whether that’s reducing downtime, improving processes, or solving system-related issues. Design and implement new equipment, tooling, and systems that bring efficiency and innovation to the floor. Guide product design and development, cost estimation, process improvements, and documentation control. Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient, profitable, and safe manufacturing operations. Champion lean manufacturing initiatives, implement standard operating procedures, and drive process optimization. Identify cost drivers, implement cost-reduction strategies, and support margin improvement. Direct staff to write specifications to best define process and equipment needs & requirements Provide estimates in Capital, Tooling, Expense, and Timing for product changes & new products Provide direction for cost reduction efforts through clear goal setting, review of processes, tooling, methods, layout, departmental performance (scrap/MRO/OEE, etc.), cost reduction meetings, and active improvement efforts Support budgeting, forecasting and departmental training efforts Establish, manage & meet departmental budget Support the quality practices of records maintenance, customer requirements, direction and support provided Assure industry system and specific customer requirements are met. Minimum requirements

At least 8 years’ experience in heavy metal manufacturing facility preferred Experience of Manufacturing and Quality principles, methodologies and systems such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc. Experience in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving methodologies, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
