Responsibilities
Complete Building Services is looking to add an
HVAC Mechanic
to our facility team. We are supporting a large government building in the heart of DC as supplemental staff. Our team is focused on equipment upkeep and troubleshooting repair. The work week is
Sunday through Thursday , from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Salary is $40-$43 per hour dependent on experience. Parking is provided. While you are on-site, you will be supporting the facility in the following capacities: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment Operate and perform Preventive Maintenance of HVAC systems and subsystems Maintain plant and equipment in sound operating condition Perform Refrigerant recovery and recycling Operate Building Energy Management System (Johnson Controls EMS-Metasys a plus) and associated building controls Interface with building managers and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction Accurately document work performed on trouble tickets or work orders Install and/or remove systems, hardware and equipment as required Purchase materials and supplies, and maintain inventory as required for timely work completion Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications
Must be able to pass a background check to obtain a government site badge Must have registered for Selective Service at the appropriate time 15+ years experience working on commercial HVAC systems Ideally will possess HVAC Journeyman certification, preferred but not required Knowledge in work involving equipment installation Completed coursework in HVAC areas Must have working knowledge of 480V and below electrical systems, HVAC and plumbing systems Universal CFC Certification Required Must demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in Building Operations Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor Must be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment Valid driver's license EOE/M/F/Vet/Disabled
