Geotechnical Engineer - Orlando at Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is a full-time position in our Orlando, FL office. Ardaman is one of the largest geotechnical engineering and materials testing consulting firms in the Southeastern U.S., with experience on more than 150,000 projects globally across public and private sectors involving industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. Summarize, evaluate, and present field and laboratory data using computer worksheet programs including Microsoft Excel and Sigma Plot. Perform geotechnical analyses using software such as SEEP/W (seepage analyses), SLOPE/W (slope stability analyses), and GMS-MODFLOW (groundwater flow simulations). Draft engineering reports for senior engineers; research and review information and data for engineering projects. Develop and review construction drawings and technical specifications for engineering projects. Coordinate with field personnel to perform subsurface exploration programs and field tests. Coordinate with laboratory personnel to perform laboratory testing on soil, geosynthetic, and water samples. Collaborate to support project teams in a dynamic environment with opportunities for career growth. Qualifications
The successful candidate will be technically proficient with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Master’s degree specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program, or currently enrolled in a Master’s program specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
